Outdoor Education: Outdoor education can be simply defined as experiential learning in, for, or about the outdoors. The term ‘outdoor education’, however, is used broadly to refer to a range of organized activities that take place in a variety of ways in predominantly outdoor environments.

Reiki: a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

Mindfulness: a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Meditation: Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. It is the means for fathoming all the levels of ourselves and finally experiencing the center of consciousness within. Meditation is not a part of any religion; it is a science, which means that the process of meditation follows a particular order, has definite principles, and produces results that can be verified.

Somatic Practices: Anything relating to the body. Especially as separate from the mind. Larisa uses counselling methodogy from Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing. She has completed Beginner Level One. Larisa uses  somatic practices which include reiki, qigong, yoga to help people experience and listen to their bodies. Larisa understands the body holds many answers and is attempting to move people towards a state of health and well-being. When a person is taught to listen, the body will speak.
